Phoebe graduated in physiotherapy in 2016 from the University of Nottingham with a first class honours degree.
She started her career in Derby at one of the countries largest teaching hospitals gaining valuable experience at the specialist rehabilitation centre. One of only two centres of excellence in the UK for neurological rehabilitation. She then went on to work in the acute setting at the Royal Derby hospital before returning to her home town Grimsby.
Since returning to Grimsby, she has worked for the NHS as a senior therapist in the community expanding her knowledge and treatment skills for a variety of neurological conditions. Phoebe is passionate about the leading role physiotherapy has to play in enabling people to live long and live well.
Phoebe started practising musculoskeletal (MSK) physiotherapy whilst in Derby working for local football and rugby teams. Not only did she learn new practical skills but also an understanding of the important role physiotherapists play in injury prevention.
Her enthusiasm for MSK secured her role at Physio-Works in 2018 where her holistic approach aims to improve patients’ physical, psychological and social wellbeing.
Outside of Physio-Works, Phoebe likes to devote time to completing new challenges in the aid of charity such as the Yorkshire Three Peaks, The Bloodwise Bikeathon and Ultra Ballroom Dancing. Phoebe also completed her first triathlon in 2018 and hopes to complete many more in the future!
